Bespoke Dark Menu for a TV Launch

Paramount Pictures hired Game and Flames to create a fully themed menu for the Yellowjackets Season 2 launch - a dark survival drama set in the wilderness. We designed concept dishes served on edible soil, airplane wreckage sheets, and willow skewers to match the show's aesthetic.

The menu included: American-style cheeseburgers on edible soil with savoury moss, chalk stream trout cured in gin on crunchy flatbreads with vine leaves and dill, BBQ chicken on whittled willow skewers served on spruce branches, vegan corn dogs on plane-wreckage sheets with ketchup and American mustard, vegan meatballs on edible soil with sprouting herbs and a spicy blood-red river yoghurt dip. Cocktails: Paramount blue foraged gin fizz and a maple and cinnamon whisky sour.

Originally hired for live fire cooking, we pivoted to a fully themed concept experience when health and safety requirements changed. Creative problem-solving under pressure is what sets us apart.

Game and Flames is an award-winning live fire catering company led by chef, hunter, and fire specialist Cai Ap Bryn. We specialise in wild game and sustainably sourced farm meats, cooked exclusively over open fire using Argentine asado techniques.

Common questions from event managers and PAs

How quickly can you organise a corporate event?

Typical lead time is 2-8 weeks, though we can turn around urgent requests in as little as a few days depending on availability and scale. Christmas events should be booked earlier (September/October ideally).

Do you cater midweek events?

Absolutely - midweek is ideal for us. We have strong availability for Monday to Thursday events, lunch functions, and after-work gatherings. This is a key advantage over wedding-only caterers.

Can you accommodate large-scale events?

Yes. We have catered Download Festival (85,000+ attendees), polo events, country shows, and corporate events for 500+ guests. Such as a Christmas event. We have the equipment, staff network, and logistics experience for any scale.

Do you accept corporate invoicing and purchase orders?

Yes. We work with corporate accounting departments, accept purchase orders, and can invoice through your procurement process. We are VAT registered and provide full documentation for your finance team.

Can you create themed or concept menus?

Absolutely. We have designed concept menus for Paramount TV, themed brand events, and bespoke corporate experiences. If you have a creative brief, we can build a menu and presentation around it.

What venues can you work at?

We are self-contained and can set up at almost any venue with outdoor space. We are preferred suppliers at several premium venues in the South East, and travel nationwide. We bring all our own equipment.

Is fire cooking safe for a corporate setting?

Yes. We carry full public liability insurance, food hygiene certification, and extensive experience managing fire safely at events. We conduct a risk assessment for every venue and follow strict safety protocols. We have worked with venues, festival organisers, and health and safety teams for years.

Is it just fire cooking?

No. While live fire is our signature, we can cater any concept that doesn’t involve fire. Our Paramount TV job, for example, was a fully themed concept menu with no fire cooking at all - bespoke dishes served on edible soil, airplane wreckage sheets, and whittled willow skewers. We have even run restaurants alongside celebrity chefs James Martin, Nick Nairn, and Bryn Williams. Whatever your concept, we can design and deliver it.
