Game and Flames was born in 2016. Company director Cai Ap Bryn is an experienced hunter, fisherman, and chef who has hunted and cooked all over Europe - picking up inspiration from every country, every culture, every flame.
Cai quickly realised there was a gap in the market. Wedding catering had become stale, predictable, and safe. He saw an opportunity to turn the traditional mundane form of event catering completely on its head.
The solution? Take the oldest cooking method known to humanity - open fire - and combine it with ethically sourced wild game, theatrical presentation, and genuine craftsmanship. Game and Flames was lit.

Game and Flames isn't just a catering company - it's a philosophy. Every dish tells a story that starts in the field and ends at your table.
Field: We source our own wild game from trusted estates across the UK, alongside sustainably sourced British farm meats from local butchers. Cai personally hunts, selects, and oversees the sourcing of every animal. Venison, pheasant, pigeon — all ethically taken and fully traceable. Our farm meats — lamb, beef, chicken — come from trusted local suppliers with full provenance.
Flame: We cook exclusively over open fire. Argentine asado crosses, planchas, fire grills, ember roasting - ancient methods perfected through years of practice. No gas. No shortcuts. Just fire.
Fork: The result? Food that doesn't just taste extraordinary - it creates an experience your guests will talk about for years. The theatre, the aroma, the spectacle of watching a whole deer turn slowly over glowing coals.

Cai isn't your typical chef. He's a hunter, a butcher, a fire specialist, and a showman. He learned his craft not in Michelin kitchens but in the fields, forests, and mountains of Europe - stalking deer in the Scottish Highlands, fishing in Welsh rivers, and learning asado techniques from Argentine masters.

Our HQ is in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, but we travel the length and breadth of the UK for the right events. From Scottish castle weddings to London product launches, Cornwall festivals to Yorkshire country estates - if there's space for a fire, we'll be there.
